What counts as handyman services at TaskRunner?

Accepted Answer

Handyman covers most small and medium-sized jobs, both at home and in the office, for example hanging and drilling, mounting a TV on the wall, painting and wallpapering, repairs and fixes, kitchen renovation and kitchen assembly, electrical work and appliance installation. If you don't find your service in the list, describe the job in your request and we'll help you find the right solution.

Do you only help at home, or in the office too?

Accepted Answer

Both. Our Runners are happy to take on handyman jobs both at home and in the office, for example hanging pictures, assembling furniture or fixing small repairs at the workplace. Just keep in mind that the RUT and ROT deductions only apply to work carried out in a private home, so if you book a service for the office you pay the full labour cost yourself.

Does the RUT or ROT deduction apply to handyman services?

Accepted Answer

It depends on the service, and on the job being carried out in a private home. Simpler jobs such as hanging and drilling, assembling furniture or kitchen assembly are RUT-eligible, with a 50% deduction. Renovation and installation work, such as electrical work, kitchen renovation and facade renovation, is ROT-eligible, with a 30% deduction, meaning you pay 70% of the labour cost.

How do I choose the right service if I don't know what the job is called?

Accepted Answer

Describe the problem in your own words in the request, for example "the lamp is hanging loose" or "the door won't close properly". You don't need to know exactly which category it belongs to, we'll match you with a Runner who has the right skills.

Question 5

How quickly do I get a reply when I book a handyman?

Accepted Answer

You usually get a reply within a few minutes from interested Runners, and help on site within a couple of days depending on the scope of the job and where you live.

What affects the price of handyman services?

Accepted Answer

The price depends entirely on the job, for example its scope, materials and how long it takes. Send a request and describe the job, and you'll get bids from Runners who can help you.

Is the job insured?

Accepted Answer

Yes, every job carried out through TaskRunner is insured through If. You can read more about what the insurance covers on our insurance page.

Question 8

Can I cancel if I change my mind?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the job is due to be carried out. If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours, a fee applies. If the job is booked for the same day, it unfortunately can't be cancelled. If you've hired a Runner but no longer want the help, it's your responsibility to cancel. If we don't hear from you in the chat, a cancellation fee of 199 kronor may apply.
