How it works
TaskRunner works as a marketplace: you post a task, Runners who want to do it lay bids on it, and you choose who you hire. That means there's no fixed rate — the price is set per task, by whoever does the job.
From task to finished job
You describe the job, Runners lay bids on it, and you choose who you want to hire.
- 01
Describe the job
Tell us briefly what needs doing, where and when suits you. Attaching photos is a good idea — it's the single best thing you can do to get accurate bids. Posting a task is free and you're not committing to anything.
- 02
Runners lay bids
Verified Runners nearby who are interested in the task lay bids on it. Since almost no two tasks are alike, there's no fixed rate — every Runner prices the job based on what yours actually needs.
- 03
You choose — not us
Compare the bids against each other: price, experience with that particular service, ratings and reviews from previous customers. You can ask questions in chat before deciding, and it's you who decides who gets the job.
- 04
The job gets done — and you approve
Payment is held by our payment partner until the task is completed and you're satisfied. Only then is the money transferred to the Runner.
Where you start

Payment
You pay securely by card through our payment partner Stripe. The amount is held in escrow and only transferred to the Runner once the task is completed and you've approved it. If the Runner doesn't turn up, you get your money back.
Quality
Every completed task is rated, and the Runner receives a review. Runners can only bid on and carry out the services they're verified for, and anyone who doesn't meet the standard is suspended from the platform.
Safety
Every Runner is interviewed personally — by phone or in person — verifies their identity, and undergoes a background check via Verifiera before they can take on tasks.
Insurance
Every task arranged through us is covered by insurance with If, which protects both you and the Runner. See what the insurance covers — and what it doesn't.
Tax and deductions
You as the customer
Our Runners are self-employed through the umbrella company GigaPay, which deducts tax and employer contributions. If the task is carried out by a company registered for F-skatt (Swedish business tax), the company takes care of that itself. You don't need to take any responsibility for tax or employer contributions.
Many household and renovation services qualify for a RUT or ROT deduction. If yours does, we handle the application to the Swedish Tax Agency for you — you'll see which deduction applies to your service when you book. What qualifies, and how much allowance you have left, is decided by the Swedish Tax Agency's rules.
You as a Runner
As a Runner, you're self-employed through GigaPay every time you take on a task through TaskRunner. Tax and employer contributions are handled by the umbrella company, and your payout comes as net pay — taxed and ready.
