Our insurance

When the service is arranged through us, both parties can feel secure. Every task is covered by insurance that protects both the customer and the person carrying it out, as well as a property insurance. The policy is held with If.

The insurance cover consists of

1. Property insurance

   Covers damage to property that the person carrying out the task has brought along in order to do it.

   Example: If the Runner drops the screwdriver from a ladder and the tool breaks.

2. Liability insurance

   Covers damage to the customer or someone else that the person carrying out the task causes during the task. The condition is that the Runner has been negligent and can be held liable for what happened.

   Example: If a Runner causes water damage in your home by drilling into a water pipe inside the wall while putting up a shelf.

3. Accident insurance

   Covers injury to the person carrying out the task during the task, or on the way to or from it.

4. Carrier liability insurance

   Compensates 100 kr per kilo of the goods being transported. If damage occurs to the carrier's own vehicle, that is covered by the driver's own insurance.

The insurance does not cover

• Water and electrical damage

  Tasks that require plumbing or electrical work are not covered by our insurance.

• Painting

  Painting tasks are rarely considered eligible for compensation, since by definition nothing is "broken". So describe clearly what you need help with, photograph the walls and anything else before the task begins, and agree with the Runner by text message or email on what is to be done.

What happens if damage occurs during a task?

If the worst happens, we'll sort it out together with you and the Runner. Here's how:

1. First talk to the Runner who caused the damage and try to find a solution together — the Runner can often put the damage right straight away.
2. Email us at support@taskrunner.se and tell us what happened. We'll ask both you and the Runner for an account of events, and then decide together with you whether to open an insurance claim or whether the damage can simply be fixed.
3. If we open an insurance claim, we'll send you a form to fill in and email back. Please attach photos of the damage.

As soon as we receive the completed form, we pass it on to a claims handler at If, who will contact you about the case.
