Repairs & fixes covers the small jobs that easily get left undone, sticking doors, loose handles, broken hinges, scuffed skirting boards and the like. A Runner goes through what you need help with and fixes it on the spot during the same visit whenever possible.

What kinds of repairs can I get help with?
Your Runner can help with the usual small repairs that otherwise get left undone, for example sticking doors, loose handles, broken hinges and scuffed skirting boards. If you're unsure whether your particular problem counts, describe it in your request and we'll help you work it out.
Can the Runner fix several things during the same visit?
Yes, if it's possible the Runner sorts out several small repairs during the same visit. Feel free to describe everything you need help with already in the request, so your Runner can plan the visit and give you one combined bid.
Do I get the ROT deduction on repairs?
Yes, repairs through TaskRunner qualify for the ROT deduction. The deduction is 30% of the labour cost, meaning you pay 70% yourself. The deduction is applied directly on the invoice, you don't need to do anything extra for it.
What affects the price of a repair?
The price depends on what needs fixing, how many things need doing and how long the job takes. Send a request and describe what's broken, ideally with a photo, and you'll get bids from Runners who can help you. You then choose who you want to hire.
How do I book help with a repair?
The easiest way is to download the TaskRunner app (Get the job done) or create a request directly on the website. Describe what needs repairing, ideally with a photo, and when you need help. If you create the request on the website, you'll need to download the app to receive bids and hire a Runner.
Is it safe to pay through TaskRunner?
Yes. You pay directly in the app when you hire a Runner, and the money is held until the job is finished and you've approved it. If something isn't right, our refund policy protects you.
