What types of facades can the Runner help with?
We help you whether you have a wood, render or brick facade. The work needed differs: a wood facade may need replacing where it has rotted, while a render facade more often involves repairing cracks or dealing with mould. Describe your facade and what problems you see in your request, and you'll be matched with a Runner who has the right experience.
How do I know if my facade needs renovating?
Common signs are visible cracks, peeling or bubbling paint, loose sections of the facade, mould or damp patches. The sooner it's addressed, the smaller the risk that the damage spreads or affects what's behind the facade. If you're unsure whether painting is enough or a more extensive renovation is needed, describe what you see and your Runner will help you assess it on site.
Does the ROT deduction apply to facade renovation?
Yes, facade renovation through TaskRunner is ROT-eligible. The deduction is 30% of the labour cost, which means you pay 70% yourself. The deduction is applied directly on the invoice. You don't need to do anything extra for it.
What affects the price of facade renovation?
The price depends partly on the size and material of the facade, how extensive the damage is, and whether scaffolding is needed to reach the whole surface. Is it safe to pay through TaskRunner?
