What's included in moving help?
Your Runner helps you carry out, load, transport and carry in furniture and moving boxes, for a whole move or just parts of it. If you also need help with packing, taking furniture apart or an end-of-tenancy clean, that can be added to the same job.
Does the RUT deduction apply to the whole moving job?
The RUT deduction applies to the move itself, for example carrying help, loading, transporting your belongings and the end-of-tenancy clean. The Swedish Tax Agency, however, does not give a RUT deduction for taking rubbish or old furniture to the recycling centre, even if it's booked as part of the same job. That part is therefore charged without the deduction.
What affects the price of moving help?
The price depends partly on the distance between the homes, how many and how large the pieces of furniture are, and how long the job is expected to take. Send a request and describe the move, and you'll get bids from Runners who can help you.
How far in advance should I book before the move?
It's best to book well in advance, especially if the move happens during a period of high demand, such as the turn of the month or summer. This gives you more Runners to choose from and a better chance of planning the rest of the move.
Can I book just carrying help if I've already arranged transport?
Yes, that's fine. If you've already arranged a moving van but need help carrying furniture and boxes in and out, you can book that as a separate part of the job.
Is the job insured?
Yes, every job carried out through TaskRunner is insured through If. You can read more about what the insurance covers on our insurance page.
Can I cancel if I change my mind?
Yes, you can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the job is due to take place. Cancelling or rebooking within 24 hours incurs a fee. If the job is booked and due to take place the same day, unfortunately it can't be cancelled. If you've hired a Runner but no longer want the help, it's your responsibility to cancel. If we don't hear from you in the chat, a cancellation fee of 199 kronor may apply.
