What's included in smart home help?
Your Runner installs and configures smart products, for example lights, sockets, thermostats and hubs, and connects them into a working system. This covers common platforms like Philips Hue, Google Home and Apple HomeKit.
Do products from different brands work together?
It depends on the products and which platform they use. Your Runner can help you work out what can be connected and suggest solutions if something isn't compatible. Feel free to describe which products and brands are involved in your request.
I have no experience with smart homes, can I still book help?
Yes, absolutely. Your Runner helps you through the whole process, from setup to advice on which products suit your needs, whether you're a beginner or just want to get going faster.
What affects the price of smart home help?
The price depends partly on which system is involved, how many components need installing and what the installation itself requires. Send a request and describe the job, and you'll get bids from Runners who can help you.
Does the RUT deduction apply to smart home help?
Yes, smart home help through TaskRunner is RUT-eligible. This means you only pay 50% of the labour cost yourself. The deduction is applied directly on the invoice.
Is the job insured?
Yes, every job carried out through TaskRunner is insured through If. You can read more about what the insurance covers on our insurance page.
Can I cancel if I change my mind?
Yes, you can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the job is due to be carried out. Cancelling or rescheduling within 24 hours incurs a fee. If the job is booked for the same day, it unfortunately can't be cancelled. If you've hired a Runner but no longer want the help, it's your responsibility to cancel. If we don't hear from you in the chat, a cancellation fee of 199 kr may apply.
