Assembling outdoor furniture means a Runner puts together lounge sets, dining sets or other outdoor furniture, and makes sure they stand stably on the patio, balcony or in the garden.
Frequently asked questions
Here are answers to the most common questions before you book.
Why does outdoor furniture need to be assembled extra securely?
Outdoor furniture is exposed to weather, wind and temperature swings in a way indoor furniture isn't. If the fixings aren't tightened correctly, the furniture can become unstable or wear out faster over time. Your Runner makes sure everything sits evenly and holds, whether the furniture is going on a patio, balcony or in the garden.
What kinds of outdoor furniture can the Runner assemble?
Your Runner can assemble most things, for example lounge sets, outdoor dining sets and balcony furniture. Describe the furniture in your request, ideally with photos of the packaging or instructions, so you're matched with a Runner who has the right experience.
Do I need to prepare anything before the Runner arrives?
It helps if you've already cleared space for the assembly, for example on the patio or balcony. If the surface is prone to scratches, it can help to lay down a blanket or board under the furniture during assembly. You don't need to have read the instructions in advance — your Runner takes care of that.
Can the Runner help with other things outside at the same time?
Yes. Besides furniture assembly, your Runner can also help with other things outside, for example assembling a barbecue, a trampoline or a small deck. Feel free to note in your request what you need help with, so the Runner can plan the visit.
Does the RUT deduction apply to assembling outdoor furniture?
Yes, assembling outdoor furniture through TaskRunner qualifies for the RUT deduction. This means you only pay 50% of the labour cost yourself. The deduction is applied directly on the invoice.
Is the job insured?
Yes, all jobs carried out through TaskRunner are insured through If. You can read more about what the insurance covers on our insurance page.
Can I cancel if I change my mind?
Yes, you can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the job is due to be carried out. If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours, a fee applies. If the job is booked and due to be carried out the same day, it unfortunately cannot be cancelled. If you have hired a Runner but no longer want the help, it is your responsibility to cancel. If we hear nothing from you in the chat, a cancellation fee of 199 kronor may apply.
