Why is it important to secure wardrobes and chests of drawers to the wall?

A wardrobe or chest of drawers that isn't secured can tip over if loaded unevenly, for example if a child climbs on it or pulls out a heavy drawer. The risk increases with the furniture's height and weight. Your Runner secures the furniture to the wall as part of the assembly, using the right tools for your particular wall type.

What kinds of wardrobes and chests of drawers can the Runner assemble?

Accepted Answer

Your Runner can assemble most things, from simple chests of drawers and side tables to larger double wardrobes and wardrobes with sliding doors. Describe the furniture in your request, ideally with photos of the packaging or instructions, so you're matched with a Runner who has the right experience.

Do I need to prepare anything before the Runner arrives?

Accepted Answer

It helps if you've already cleared some working space, for example by moving nearby furniture out of the way. If you've already read through the instructions yourself, that's good too, but it's not a requirement. Your Runner takes care of the rest.

Question 4

Can the Runner help with more than just the assembly?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Besides assembly, your Runner can also help with carrying, transporting the furniture and removing the packaging afterwards. Feel free to note in your request what extra help you need, so the Runner can factor it into the time needed.

Question 5

Does the RUT deduction apply to assembling a wardrobe or chest of drawers?

Accepted Answer

Yes, assembling a wardrobe or chest of drawers through TaskRunner qualifies for the RUT deduction. This means you only pay 50% of the labour cost yourself. The deduction is applied directly on the invoice.

Is the job insured?

Question 7

Can I cancel if I change my mind?

Accepted Answer

Yes, you can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the job is due to be carried out. If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours, a fee applies. If the job is booked and due to be carried out the same day, it unfortunately cannot be cancelled. If you have hired a Runner but no longer want the help, it is your responsibility to cancel. If we hear nothing from you in the chat, a cancellation fee of 199 kronor may apply.
