Frequently asked questions

Here are answers to the most common questions before you book.

What does assembling a kitchen involve?

Your Runner puts together and installs the kitchen carcasses, doors, drawers and worktop according to the manufacturer's instructions, whether the kitchen is from IKEA or another supplier. The goal is a kitchen that sits solidly and looks professionally done.

Can the Runner connect water, drainage or electricity in the kitchen?

No, not as part of the standard kitchen assembly. Connecting a sink, tap or built-in appliances requires a licensed plumber or electrician, for safety reasons. If you also need help with that, you can book it as a separate service and we'll make sure the right person does the job.

Is assembling a kitchen a big job?

Yes, a whole kitchen generally takes longer than ordinary furniture assembly, since there are more parts that need to fit together, and precision is needed so doors and drawers sit right. For larger jobs your Runner can sometimes offer a free visit before assembly begins, to be able to give a fair price.

What affects the price of assembling a kitchen?

The price depends on things like the size of the kitchen, the number of cabinets and doors, and whether it's a standard kitchen or has custom dimensions. Send a request and describe the job, ideally with photos of the kitchen and the assembly instructions, and you'll get bids from Runners who can help.

Does the RUT deduction apply to kitchen assembly?

Yes, kitchen assembly through TaskRunner qualifies for the RUT deduction. This means you only pay 50% of the labour cost yourself. The deduction is applied directly on the invoice.

Is the job insured?

Yes, all jobs carried out through TaskRunner are insured through If. You can read more about what the insurance covers on our insurance page.

Can I cancel if I change my mind?

Yes, you can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours before the job is due to be carried out. If you cancel or reschedule within 24 hours, a fee applies. If the job is booked and due to be carried out the same day, it unfortunately cannot be cancelled. If you have hired a Runner but no longer want the help, it is your responsibility to cancel. If we hear nothing from you in the chat, a cancellation fee of 199 kronor may apply.
