Frequently asked questions

Answers to the most common questions before you book.

Which IKEA furniture can the Runner assemble?

Your Runner can assemble most things from IKEA, for example PAX wardrobes, MALM beds and chests of drawers, BILLY bookcases, METOD kitchens, HEMNES furniture, KALLAX shelving and BESTÅ combinations. If you can't find your exact piece in the list, choose "Other IKEA furniture" and describe what it is.

Do I need to have my own tools?

No, your Runner brings the tools needed for the assembly. All you need ready is the furniture package itself, unpacked or unopened, plus any accessories such as wall fixings if you've bought them separately.

Do wardrobes and chests of drawers need to be anchored to the wall?

Yes, many IKEA pieces such as PAX wardrobes and tall chests of drawers need to be anchored to the wall for safety, especially if there are children in the home. Your Runner brings the right tools to do this safely, whatever the wall type.

What happens to the packaging after assembly?

If you'd like to get rid of the packaging, your Runner can help carry it down to the recycling area. Just mention it in your request, so the Runner knows to allow time for it.

Can the Runner assemble a whole IKEA kitchen?

Yes, you can book assembly of a METOD kitchen, but it's a bigger job that calls for precision and experience. We match you with a Runner who has the right skills for kitchen assembly specifically.

Does the RUT deduction apply to IKEA assembly?

Yes, IKEA assembly through TaskRunner is RUT-eligible. That means you only pay 50% of the labour cost yourself. The deduction is applied directly on the invoice.

Can I cancel if I change my mind?

Yes, we have a generous refund policy that makes it easy to cancel. Contact your Runner and email us at support@taskrunner.se if you need to cancel.
